Angel and Bird Tile Ornaments

We're offering 2 of our beautiful little tile ornaments in one sale, and offering a discount at the same time - how's that for being in the spirit of giving?

The first tile shows an Angel holding a Star and measures approximately 1 7/8" wide x 2" tall. The second little tile has the image of a bird gliding gently in the air with a sprig of laurel leaves in it's beak. It measures approximately 2 1/4" wide x 1 1/2" tall. The designs were first carved in wax, plaster moulds were poured, then hand pressed in thin porcelain clay slabs, cut, cleaned, fired, glazed, and fired again!! A lot of work for such little pieces of art. Every tile is slightly different, due to their hand made nature. Both of these tiles are glazed in our glossy azure blue - a rich Victorian style glaze that flows from the raised areas and pools darker into the recesses.

We've taken these delicately carved little tiles and attached small ribbons for hanging securely on the backs.
