Merino Felt Purse-Abstract Art

Description

Here’s a soft merino wool felt purse that’s great for carrying small treasures.

When closed, it measures 3” – 3 ½” x 6 ¾” - 7”. The size is a bit rambling because felt has a naturally uneven edge.

I made the felt using the seemingly magical wet felting method, which involves hours of strenuous, yet rewarding, work. I then hand stitched the purse with variegated wool yarn and added the three buttons.

As always, the colours on your monitor may differ from the actual wool a bit. So, here’s a list of the colours: bright blue, lemon yellow and deep rose on white felt with lavender, turquoise, olive green and navy blue variegated yarn and red and yellow buttons.
