The top of this 3.5x2.25x1 inch (9x6.5x2.5 cm) tin is decorated with an embroidered red work design that is very lacy and elegant. Red work, and more commonly blackwork, is a distinctive embroidery technique that became popular in sixteenth century England for covering caps, gloves, sleeves, and bodices. Why not bring some of this elegance of the past into your present? The red work is surrounded by delicate red cording. On the inside of the tin, the bottom is lined with red felt to match the top red work design. The rest of the tin is in the original silver color.
