The Nancy Purse - Brilliant Red and White

This purse is very very colorful as you can see. I had this very nice red gaberdine fabric that I kept wanting to make something from but there was not enough for pants or any other clothing pieces. Then in my stash I spotted this red and white flower print which was a curtain panel that matched perfectly and inspiration hit! Why not make a purse with the combination? I am very pleased with the way it turned out. It is quilted and it is lined with the red and white flower print and has a good sized inside pocket in the solid red. Notice the red ric-rac please - the perfect finishing touch. For additional stability it has a hard removable inside bottom covered in the red fabric which needs to be removed when washing. Because of the clear plastic round handles I recommend hand washing or spot washing, lay flat to dry or hang to dry.
