Pinched Pot with Frog (Linen White)

Description

I've been loving the process of making thin pinched pots these days. This one is an oval one with little ears as handles. Decorated with a frog on either side and frog prints on the inside. As part of KISS (Keep It Simple Series), the texture of the pinching is left on the piece so it can tell a story of how it is made.

I had envisioned this piece as a bowl for holding chip dip. I suppose it can hold vertually anything - cotton balls, paper clips, beads. The frog has been glazed with my favorite color of olive green. The entire piece is coated with clear glaze to render it food safe.
