LEAN ON ME recycled pear walking stick or cane with bark, satin finish and leather wrist strap, signed

So, a storm took out our pear trees...
Unless otherwise noted, my listings are cut with a chop saw from pearwood branches, sanded with a palm-grip sander, and sealed with satin-finish clear coat for longevity. I use water-based urethane to minimize my chemical exposure (and yours!).

I called this item Lean On Me, after the song that says,
"Lean on me, when you're not strong,
and I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on..."
This is my Sheteam October challenge entry for Breast Cancer Awareness.

This beautiful walking stick was made from a branch of our pear trees. It has a naturally-shaped grip, a leather strap for around the wrist (or hanging the stick up when not in use), and is marked with my maker's mark. It has been clear-coated many coats, with satin finish.

Just under the bark when I was smoothing this stick, there were some worm trails, that I have left in the surface of the cane because they add such an interesting texture. (see pic 3)

The walking stick measures approx. 34" long, 1 1/4" wide at the top and 1" wide at the bottom (86.5 x 3.2cm/2.8cm). It will support my weight at over 200# (15 stone).
