Where do ya get HUGE double-pointed needles if you want to knit something with Obscenely Big yarn in the round?

Mom had this great idea to make some great big double-pointed knitting needles to knit up a sample of Tshirt yarn. So she went out in the yard and raided a pile of trimmings I had cut from the Bradford Pear trees...

Results were that we got carried away and ended up making several sets of these funky, chunky, wonderful needles.

These are wonderful to knit with... they feel great in the hands and the little quirks just add to the charm. Because we made quite a few of these, the 4 you receive may vary from the picture. But they will be just as obscenely big, and just as arty.

They are not only obscenely big, but obscenely smooth, with no clear coat. As you knit with them your hands will season the wood beautifully. If a little burr should develop, just smooth with a fine emery board.

Great for Artisan knitting, for arthritic hands, or just for knitting something bulky or chunky or out of Tshirt yarn, in the round. These are about 7.5" long, long enough to knit a hat or pair of legwarmers or gloves.

Hard to say with tree branches, but I would rate these needles at about a US size 15 (around 10mm).
