Tropical Beach Tree - Handmade Lampwork Focal Bead - OOAK SRA Blue Between

Description

Another tree bead, in layers and layers of tropical colored glass until it positively glows, a big old full moon, a whimsical tree. Turquoise, aqua, blue, purple, a big mellon of a moon... with gusts of wind swirling about.

While the front is beautiful an captivating... the back has an issue. You can see in the photo where the bead release (the powdery stuff that keeps the hot glass from permanently sticking to the metal mandrel) broke while I was making the bead and some of the release got mixed in with the glass. There is nothing to do about it, no way to remove it... I don't think it takes away from the bead at all, but you might, so there you go - check out the photo to see what I mean. The photo does highlight it - it's less obvious in person.

This handmade lampwork bead measures approx 42 mm X 30 mm and has a 3/32 sized hole running vertically.

MY LAMPWORK BEADS:

Each bead is handmade by me, Pam Brisse, in my garden studio in Edmonds, Washington. I melt glass and play with fire, and these are the little treasures that come out of my kiln at the end of a good day. The glass I use is from Italy, Germany and USA. Beads are annealed in my kiln, cleaned by hand, inspected to be free of sharp edges or cracks, and are ready to be used in your next creation. Enjoy and have fun with them!
