Flower Lampwork Glass Top-Whorl Drop Spindle
Description
This top-whorl spindle is a beautiful and unique way to make your own yarn. I make each spindle by hand and test each one for balance and spinability.The whorl is about 1.5 inches across and made of Murano Glass. It weighs 1.7oz and is 9 inches long. The glass whorl is red with green, silver foil and copper foil swirls. The shaft is made out of wood. It is lacquered and it has a red and yellow on the top half of the shaft. The hook is brass plated and is sturdy enough so that it will not misshape if (or when) you drop it.
I have yet to break or chip mine despite many drops on my test spindle. However, because this is glass, I wouldn't recommend spinning this over a surface that didn't have a rug or a carpet.
