Do you enjoy a sling that is a fashion accessory all its own? Well, this one has pizazz!

How many people have you seen lugging a car seat on an aching arm or battling to maneuver a stroller. Oh, the convenience of babywearing, when you can wear your baby between narrow racks, through crowds of people, and even walk past that sign that says, "No strollers beyond this point!"

This sling is a beautiful lightweight Japanese maple colored linen accented with a dynamic contrast of apple green bias tape binding stitched with decorative black stitching along the rails and band of the sling. The band is Micahel Miller's Flashback cotton print. The band is stitched onto the reverse side of the fabric so that the print will show on the bottom when the sling is properly threaded. Because the print barely shows on the other side of the sling, if you needed more of a "blender" with a certain outfit, you could finagle the tail a bit through the rings to help the side that just barely has the print to show instead.

Linen is one of the best choices for babywearing. Unlike a plain weave (non twill) cotton, which will easily rip if once it gets a little tear, linen is a strong natural fiber ready to beautifully stand up to steady use. One of its properties is breathability, making it ideal for any climate year-round. Linen also softens with washing. Machine wash delicate cool and either tumble dry low or hang to dry.

An instructional DVD will show you step-by-step how to position your baby in several different basic carry holds. This sling is practical for infant through 35 pounds. This makes a practical gift for any baby shower. Ring Slings are not size-sensitive like pouch slings, adding to their practicality as a gift. This sling will fit just about anyone. Unless otherwise noted, our slings are normally 77 inches long, not including rings.

Babywearing is both a joy and a responsibility. Although Babywearing is simple, it will take practice and precations, just like anything else. Don’t expect you or your baby to “sling like a pro” the very first time. Keep at it – it’s worth the effort!

Some precautions to take while wearing your baby:
1. Always check the carrier first for signs of wear or any rips. Don’t use if damaged.
2. Practice holds with a stuffed animal before trying them on your baby.
3. Use common sense while wearing – i.e. do not bend from waist. Don’t use around the water, while cooking, showering, or other potentially hazardous activities.
4. Always make sure your baby has sufficient airflow.
5. Remove baby from sling before placing in bed.
6. While making adjustments, always make sure the baby’s weight is supported.
7. If a child is fighting against going into the sling, wait until he is calm and try again.
8. If a child is fussing after being placed in the sling, talk to him, pat back, move around, just as you would normally do to soothe a child.
9. Follow safety guidelines: you use at your own risk, accepting the responsibility for the safety of your child.
