Handmade Collectible Lampwork Vortex Marble

Description

This sparkling glass vortex marble/paperweight was made by Joe Winterbower in his Oregon studio.

He used borosilicate (pyrex) glass and dichroic glass as he formed it with his torch, sculpting and manipulating the molten glass until it became this sweet vortex marble!

Colors: Dark & light orange, yellow;
Dichro: Blue/purple, orange/gold
Size : 2.09" or 53mm round

The dichro changes color as you turn the marble in the light.

Signed and dated by glass artist Joe Winterbower; included is an acrylic stand.

Each vortex marble/paperweight gives the illusion of being much deeper than the size of the marble would permit.

They are completely encased in clear borosilicate (pyrex) glass which creates a lens to see the sparkling colorful vortex winding downwards through the marble.

Holding one in your hand is much more impressive than seeing it on a flat page.
