Fresh Catch Terracota Humuhumunukunukuapuaa Fish Sculpture

A new addition to my obsession with fish, this is a 3 dimensional fish sculpture that's made to hang on the wall. Complete with hanging wire. This fish measures 12" x 13"

100% handmade using red terracota clay, handpainted using a wonderful satin glaze and then colored decorating glazes on top. The end result is a wonderful smooth satin finish. There are beads that rise off of copper wires making this fish sculpture all the more whimsical. Big luscious lips and high temperature wire for sassy eyelashes, and well accessorized with a matching earring.

Based on the Hawaiian Triggerfish known as the Humuhumunukunukuapuaa.
