Sea Foam, hand-blended batt for hand spinning

Fiber content: Angora rabbit (natural), mohair (dyed), sheep’s wool (dyed)

Inspired by a walk on the beach, this blend of fibers is sure to please. I began the blending process with some hand-dyed sheep’s wool in watery shades of blue, green, and purple. I mixed in a handful of natural, caramel-colored alpaca. Then I added plenty of fuzzy angora rabbit wool to keep the chill out. Next I “painted” the batt with a variety of mohair locks in blues, yellows, purples, and greens.

The luscious angora wool came from my own rabbits, of course. I dyed the sheep’s wool myself. The mohair was purchased from another fiber artist. The alpaca came from a local farm.

You may spin this up into a lovely yarn or felt it using your favorite method.
