300 million year old Fern Fossil, sterling silver pendant and chain.
Description
This is a beautiful fern fossil which is 300 million years old. Set in a handmade sterling silver setting.The fossil was collected from the old Bear Valley strip mine,
in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, USA. It was bought from a fellow Etsian 'nostoneleftunturned'. This seller had to search out, clean and cut this fossil, and I am so greatful for their efforts.
I set the shale stone in a sterling silver pendant shaped like a fern! The back was pierced as there was also a small fossil on the back. (Its been hidden for 300 million years, so I didn't want to hide it again.)
The back also has my initals, my shop logo of a heart with wings and the sterling silver standard of .925.
The pendant was hung on a high quality 18" sterling silver rolo chain.
The pendant measures 40mm x 34mm.
A true work of art from Nature...............helped along by 'nostoneleftunturned' and me :-)
