Teeny Bird Purse
Description
Please click on above main pic to see bigger.This is a small coin purse made of two colors of leather; pearly sky blue on the front and mushroom on the back. I screenprinted the dipper bird in black ink--the dipper is a shorebird who also sings.
It's unlined and measures 3 3/8 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches tall by 1/2 inch thick. In centimeters, that's 8.6 by 7cm tall by 13mm thick.
These little purses are so fun to make! They are all different kinds of leather, sometimes the backs and fronts are different leathers. A lot of them are one-of-a-kind. They close with zippers that run around the sides a bit so it's easy to get your fingers into them--kind of like a miniature suitcase.
