Vintage Navy Fitted Trench Coat Dress

I love this trench (coat/dress?)! When I purchased it I was certain that it was dress but upon closer inspection I believe it is actually a very nicely tailored coat. It has a waist seam which is covered with a belt and the coat buttons down the front with abalone buttons that are set into silver metal frames. The coat has fantastic white contrast stitching framing the cuffs, collar, placket, and four front pockets. This stitching also frames the seams on the back of the coat/dress. The back has a pleat in the bodice and a large pleat in the skirt which gives it quite a bit of volume. The fabric is a soft, light-weight, synthetic and the coat is fully lined. The maker is "Lassie Junior" and it is machine washable. The coat/dress is approximately a size small or medium and it is in absolutely excellent condition.
