Mother Gatekeeper is a truly unique (OOAK) art doll from the 2009 Doll Shaman line by STORM (stormantic).

Mother Gatekeeper is extensively painted with skeletal markings and Nordic Runes. Her hair has been dyed and styled and her fur pants are one of kind handsewn creations. Originally, Mother Gatekeeper was a My Scene Barbie doll.

Her bio states:

"She stands before you on a hill. Behind her a doorway looms large. Will you walk into the portal of change unafraid? Will you release your outgrown and outworn ways of being to move onto your next stage of development? Let Mother Gatekeeper help you let go of your old life in order to move forward in the new. She will help you invoke change that is timely and natural for your life."

Doll Shaman uses 1:6 scale dolls (Barbie, GI Joe, Star Wars) as a base for brand new characters who come from a magickal fantasy world. Doll Shaman dolls are embodiments of spirit in doll form and each one has been specifically designed to spark the power of your imagination.

Each doll has had their factory face paint removed and then been lovingly repainted with a new facial design. Each outfit is carefully handmade. A handwritten biography and a display stand accompanies each doll.
