This is a drop spindle for hand spinning yarn with a beautiful brown and gray jasper whorl. The shaft is a warm red rosewood with a checkerboard dark and light inlay in the top above the whorl. The hook is a heavy sterling silver wire which I hand bend, set, and file smooth forming a graceful, balanced curve.
