Batman Spiderman Reversible Cape

Description

This is the "real" superhero cape. More than a costume, this cape is only for REAL superheros. This is why:

FABRIC:
A lot of children's capes are made out of cotton/blend fabrics. But real superheros only wear satin. I use charmeuse satin for the entire cape, making it silky and comfortable. Don't worry, it is still machine washable because we know they may have some messy adventures.

APPLIQUE:
Real superheros have satin logos that are actually sewn on, not glued. This cape has the Batman applique. They are layered satin sewn around the edges, and sewn to your cape. This gives it a more professional look and durability. No fuzzy felt logos for real superheros!
The complexity of the spiderman logo looked better hand painted on. High quality fabric paint is used, and is machine washable.

CONSTRUCTION:
In looking for capes as gifts, I didn't like how most were a basic triangle shape with a hole for the neck at the top. I didn't like the way they just hung on the hero's back. That is why I designed these capes. The elastic neck allows the cape to wrap around the shoulders, covering the entire back--just like the real Superman or Spiderman.

DURABILITY:
Each seam on the entire cape is additionally top stitched. Having each seam sewn twice increases the durability, preventing ribs or tears.

Capes are designed for children ages 2-8, but can fit older people too.
-length from back of neck to bottom of cape: 25 1/2"
-width of cape: 21"
-length to go around neck: 13" with the elastic allowing extra stretch if needed.

To secure cape, velcro is used as a safety precaution, but also for convenience when the hero gets a call and needs to be off in a flash!

This cape features both Batman and Spiderman, so you have two capes in one!

Machine washable. Lay flat to air dry (the satin dries quickly, usually within 20-30 minutes depending on your climate). Iron on low as needed.

Created in a pet free/ smoke free environment.
