Handmade Porcelain Oak Leaf Bobby Pins
Description
A pair of lovely, subtle handmade oak leaf cabs in an earthy mottled green-brown embellish this set of bobby pins.To make these bobbies, I began with a thin slab of snowy white porcelain to form the leaves. Since each is made individually there may be very slight variations in size. The glaze is a glossy green with brown mottling --- very fall leafish.
I've finished the cabs meticulously, smoothing and glazing with care. Each leaf measures 1 1/8" (2.9cm) in length, 5/8" (1.6cm) wide and under 1/8" (<.3cm) thick. They've been cemented to 2 1/2" (6.4cm) silver-plated bobby pins. Each bobby pin weighs just 1/8th of an ounce (2 grams), so is not at all heavy.
