flutterby in blue

Description

so apparently 'flutterby' is an old collective noun for butterflies...it's kind of lovely. or alternatively a 'kaleidoscope' or a 'rabble'. these butterflies are of the felted variety and nestle quietly in your hair, upon your shoulder or where-ever else you desire to pin them. i've adorned them with crocodile clips aaaaand pins to help them serve your wishes! available in a 'kaleidoscope' of colours and designs!

the brooch is a nice thickness with 3 layers of felt (4 in where the coloured details are) to give it strength and body. they are also gorgeously large and really catch the eye!

this design is inspired by the beautiful papillion ulysses with my own little twist on the design and are completely handstitched. this pin is made of a combination of 100% wool felt and acrylic/wool combination felt with a metal pin on the back. it measures approximately 11.5cm (4.5 inch) x 8.5 cm (3 1/3 inches).
