Opal this is a bolder type opal from the Coober Pedy mine

Description

This Opal is similar to a bolder matrix type opal ,it is from the Coober Pedy mine and has dark brown opal base instead of the red ironstone found in the true boulder opal from the Queensland mine. This stone is solid opal no low-grade ironstone.

The stone has translucent vanes of deep color opal matrix with large green, blue, red and golden flash .
The stone was finished front and back with cerium oxide polish then buffed to create a slight pattern effect on the surface between the different hardness of the stone, then re-polished on cerium oxide polish for a high sine . .This is a good solid large stone .

weight is 6.5 grams = 32.4 carat
