Overbite squirrel skull with star embroidered fabric fiber art

Description

Freehand embroidered in black cotton thread on pale pink/cream oak leaf and acorn print linen and mounted by hand stitching onto sturdy acid free mustard colored cardboard box. Vintage buttons hand stitched onto corners of box with strong black polyester thread. Thread for hanging mounted across back of piece. Works best when mounted with 2 small nails (with heads) set about 2 1/2 inches apart. Signed and dated in white pencil on bottom inside edge of box. Entire piece measures about 5 1/4 inches (13.5cm) long by 3 1/4 inches (8.25cm) tall by 1 7/16 inches (3.5cm) deep.
