Vintage Culver Green and Gold Glassware - Set of 6

I've completely fallen in love with the Culver glassware and have been fortunate enough to come across another set:)
Culver Glassware was founded in Brooklyn, NY (as most good things are:)) in the 1930's...later on they moved to beautiful downtown Rahway, New Jersey:) Known for lavish designs and use of 22 and 24 Karat Gold over those designs, they gained notoriety and became highly collectible. Sadly...the founder's son, Mark Rothenberg ran the company until 1996, when it was sold. At that point he headed another glassware company, briefly, until his untimely death on 9/11. Mr. Rothenberg was one of the passengers on the hijacked Newark to San Francisco flight that crashed in Pennsylvania.

This set of 6 glasses is in varying degrees of condition. There are no chips or scratches, the gold however, has begun to wear on 3 of the glasses (around the middle area - see pic 5th at right), on 1 glass the wear is very minimal (3rd pic, single glass) and the remaining 2, are in perfect condition. As a group, the fading of the gold is not exceedingly noticeable and they are gorgeous glasses...reminiscent of stained glass...the way that the oval areas have been filled with a deep green.
They measure 6" tall and 3" in circumference, holding 12 ounces of your favorite liquid:)
