32 ctw Black Spinel Eternity Necklace Looks like BLACK Diamonds STUNNING

One day while looking at jewelry - I noticed a man with a stunning necklace. It appeared to be rough cut black diamond to me but I had never seen anything like it before. He wore it close up upon his neck. Thankfully, someone mentioned his necklace and he went on to say that it consisted of faceted black diamond rondells. Well, of course you know I had to seek out those stones/beads for myself and found that there was NO WAY I could at this time pay that for a necklace. I also read up on these beads and found that black diamonds are almost always treated and their makeup is such that they are more fragile and cleave more easily due to the very things that make them black in the first place. That said, I then stumbled upon black spinels. Turns out they look the same as black diamonds to me and they are a precious gemstone in their own right! They are actually stronger in that they do not cleave as easily and they are not treated. They are naturally beautiful! Of course you know I made one of these necklaces for myself and I LOVE it! Here is one for you to enjoy!

32 ctw of 2.8mm faceted black spinel in rondelle shape hand strung by myself on silk with 2 safety knots on each side of the clasp. It is approximately 14.75 inches in length and has a solid sterling silver clasp and solid brass flower tag hanging from the clasp. This sits nice and high on the neck and sparkles like crazy! Did I mention I LOVE my necklace!

Black Spinel is an 8 on the moh's scale of hardness which makes it perfect for any type of jewelry. Apparently, "black spinel is relatively unheard of to the consumer and has not been marketed by any major gem companies. Black Spinel is only found in a few locations in the world, and because of its rarity, if the demand were to rise, supply would not be abundant enough to keep up with it."

I can tell you that this lovely necklace looks like a beautiful, sparkly strand of black diamonds and I just know that you will adore it as much as I do.
