FILLMORE (frankincense-myrrh)

Description

This incense is a reverent blend of Frankincense and Myrrh essential oils. Mystical and magical, yet warm, sweet and a bit spicy, just like those Fillmore nights.

The famous Fillmore was home and stage to just about every starting rock group. From The Doors to The Who, you did not begin a tour without a stop at either ‘The Fillmore East’ (New York City), or ‘The Fillmore West (San Francisco). The Fillmore East opened on March 8, 1968, featuring Big Brother and The Holding Company. The Doors would play the Fillmore East later that month. Soon-to-be legendary artist such as Richie Havens, Janis Ian, The Chambers Brothers and many more soon followed. The excitement lasted until June 27, 1971 when the Fillmore East and West were closed down by owner-promoter Bill Graham. He cited many reasons, but all included his disappointment in the greed that the industry turned to. He had correctly predicted that the popularity and success of Woodstock would turn all these young talented musicians into demanding greedy mini-corporations. However, while it remained open, the nights at both Fillmores’ were mystical and magical.
