This listing is for 1.5oz's. of 100% Natural Tussah Silk.I hand dyed it with yellow and orange professional acid dyes.
This roving is a great choice for blending or spinning on it's own and is also ideal for weaving and all kinda of fiber work. It's high shine is great for adding into papermaking too!
Tussah silk has a very long staple (5+ inches) it is very strong, lustrous, and more resilient than cultivated "White" silks.
Silk does not felt on it's own but can be added to your felt projects for effect and to add texture.
I absolutely LOVE spinning with it!
