Pink Mokume Gane Egg

Collectable egg, (yes there is a real chicken egg inside.)
Covered in polymer clay. This one in a mokume gane technique.

~~~How it's made~~~
Mokume gane is a metal workers technique where layers upon layers of metals are fused together, distressed, pounded and when smoothed the result looks very much like burl wood.

The technique also works with polymer clay.

Multiple sheets are run through my past machine at a VERY thin setting and stacked up.
The stack was cut and stacked again. And again.
Scrap clays are rolled into balls and layers wrapped around that.

Finally it's sanded with five different wet sand paper grits, buffed to a glass finish, and given a coat of varathane.

All my eggs have a tiny hole at the narrow end. Needed for baking. I have some silver I hooks I could add if you want to hang your egg. (Very tiny hole in these, perfect if your using fishing line or something that fine.)
I like to leave that up to you. Some people display eggs in a basket. So let me know if you want the hook. A jump ring can be attached to that for things like ribbon, or satin cord. Again, just ask if you want that. Not a problem.
