This book has been made for the Zombie Award 2009 Etsy Bookbinding Street Team (BEST) challenge. Search zombieaward2009 in the search box to see all entries and vote for your favorite. I have to say, this is pretty non-zombie book, more of a cute and whimsical harvest book.

The illustration on the cover is an original design by me.

This 5"x7" book has been bound with the coptic technique leaving the stitching visible on the spine. This method also allows the book to lie completely open while writing, drawing, or even painting. There are about 160 pages in this book (that includes front and back of each). The text paper is 80# heavy weight recycled sketch paper. I prefer the heavier weight so my pens don't bleed through. Such a bother when that happens!

I have attached various colors of wooden and glass beads onto the front cover while sewing the signatures together.

The back cover and the interior of both covers is covered in Canson brand orange heavy-duty paper.
