Alchemy Earrings
Description
Often times when I am in my studio, tinkering, playing & experimenting I feel like an alchemist. Taking raw material, using heat and exploring solutions to come up with striking new design.With these lovely earrings I have hand-stamped, thin, half moons from a solid sheet of brass, then continued to solder a sterling silver handle to each tip; creating almost a purse-like design.
Each brass half-moon has been hand painted with a striking blue-green verdigris patina.
Hung from handmade sterling silver earwires.
TOTAL LENGTH:: just a fraction more than 1 and 1/2 inches (top to bottom)
