Children's size Glow in the Dark Skeleton silk tie

The very first of my designs available as a children's size tie! And what a fun one it is!

This lovely tie is made from a beautiful dupioni silk. Dupioni is a richly textured silk fabric created from the irregular silk thread formed when two or more silkworms spun entangled cocoons. This silk thread is naturally slubby, uneven and fibrous. When it is woven, these characteristics are evident in the fabric's surface qualities. This gives dupioni silk its uniquely organic, natural charm.

This tie is made completely from scratch, by me. (It is NOT purchased pre-sewn and then printed). It is screen printed with an anatomical skeleton design in white ink which is overprinted in glow-in-the-dark ink. Let me tell you does it GLOW! The image is printed using an acrylic permanent textile ink and the print has been heat-set.

Measurements of the tie:

40 inches long from end to end
3 inches wide at bottom front
1.5 inches wide at opposite end

Skeleton design
7.5 inches tall
Extends the width of the tie and runs off edge

I am happy to accommodate custom color requests and can order just about any color of silk you can imagine.
