Victorian Lace Lampwork Glass Happy Fish Bead

This fish is made with one of my favorite color combinations - ivory and shell pink, which mixes into something that looks like old Victorian Lace to me. There are flashes of old gold, ivory, pale pink and white throughout the fish's flowing fins and tail. And look at that expression! So cheery! This fishy has side fins that flare out farther from her body, so she would be better probably as a collectible or a hanging bit of art than a pendant, unless you were careful with her. She was made on a 3/32" mandrel. She measures about 1 5/8" long from lips to tailfins.

Crowbirdie Beads are carefully kiln-annealed and made from effetre, moretti, lauscha and vetrofond glass. Since they are made from glass they can be broken or chipped if mishandled, so please treat them kindly. Each one is unique, since I make them each by hand. That last photo shows me at the torch, creating a bead.
