"Grant Us Peace Your Most Precious Gift"

These words are from a prayer for peace in the Torah or the Old Testament.

This platter makes a lovely gift. It can be used for serving up a special dinner, or just a beautiful display piece.

This platter measures 14.25" by 10". The rim is decorated with raised slip trailing and the words from the prayer. It is glazed in “denim” blue, green and satin white. An interesting feature of the white glaze is that at some angles it appears to have a smooth finish and at other angles, a fine crackle pattern is revealed. It was fired to cone 6 in an oxidation kiln.

There is one small flaw in this piece. There is a tiny crack on the edge of the rim under the letter C in Precious. It does not affect the functionality at all, but I've discounted the price because it isn't perfect. You can see it in the last photo.

All my glazes are lead-free and food safe. It is dishwasher and microwave safe too, but hand washing is recommended.
