Unsettlingly Real-Looking Felted Bacon Scarf (Free USPS Priority Shipping)

I've been getting a ton of requests for these. Sorry it took so long. They're longer than ever--almost a foot longer than before--and the cuts have more marbleized fat! Gross! Awesome!

Note that I can't ship until August 13th; I'll be out of town and I don't want to take these scarves with me.

The loose red, pink, and white merino wool has been wet felted with warm, soapy water and agitated to hold its shape. Nothing is sewn, knitted, or crocheted. It measures about 6-8" wide and 56-61" long. This is an approximation since this scarf--much like real bacon--is not a true rectangular shape. It looks like a real slice of bacon, with the striations of fat and meat. It's kind of gross and awesome at the same time.

Do a search on “bacon scarf” and look at the other bacon scarves out there. They use a paltry two colors, and they don’t look as realistic as this! The pictures don't do it justice. It’s like wearing a delicious, delicious work of art! I like how it doesn't obviously look like bacon until you hold it up and say, "It's bacon!" Everyone will be impressed, I promise.

The picture in this listing isn't this exact scarf, since every scarf I felt is unique and has slight variations. This particular batch is a fattier cut, if you will. The colors and general dimensions are the same, though. Oh, the picture above does not show how much nicer the red part looks now.

The merino wool is 21.5 micron, a fine fiber that felts into a luxurious material to wear next to the skin. This scarf comes from a household with cats, although the cats were not permitted to wear the scarf. If you absolutely have to wash this scarf, use cold, soapy water. Lay it flat on a towel to air dry.
