Tiered Patchwork Twirler PAPER PATTERN for child

This pattern zine contains instructions and bodice pattern pieces for a Tiered Patchwork Twirler dress. This is, hands down, my daughter’s absolute favorite dress to wear, dance, and twirl in. The tiered twirl dress is relaxed and loose fitting, forming a circle when laid down flat.

This dress grows with your child! Ties at the shoulders allow the dress to be adjusted lengthwise and the loose fit at the chest accommodates a growing child over several summers.

For those of you who have visited my tutorial blog, http://indietutes.blogspot.com/, you will be familiar with the free instructions on how to make this dress. I have been asked several times to make available my own bodice pieces I use to make my patchwork twirlers. Here they are! In this pattern zine is the bodice pattern pieces are full dimensions to make tiered patchwork twirler dresses, not included in the free tutorial. Please contact me if you have questions.

This pattern zine is a fully illustrated booklet with a hand drawn multi-size pattern that will be mailed to your home. No need to print off pdf patterns, no need to tape together the pattern pieces, and no need to redraw pattern with a grid. This pattern zine is neat and complete.

The Tiered Patchwork Twirler uses between 1 and 2 yards of fabric, though the dress can be made entirely from scraps from other projects. This is also a great project for reconstructing or recycling other garments and soft furnishings.

There is no zippers or buttons. A good pattern for a beginning sewer (though, admittedly, time consuming).

This pattern contains multiple sizes:
for children US sizes 2 – 7
or chest measurements 20” to 26”.
