FREE POST - Madagascar Ebony and Red Orange Fire Lampwork Hair Stick
Description
The timber in this hair stick is Madagascar Ebony. It is heavily streaked with brown and black and is wonderfully smooth.It has been topped with a hand made lampwork bead made by Etsy artist, AFiberJourney. I was so impressed with her beads that I have many more ideas for them in the future!
The bead is connected to the stick through a long hole drilled lengthwise into the stick, using jewelry grade aluminium wire for strength. It is topped off with a tiny Swarovski crystal.
The timber part of the stick is 6.25 inches long, with a useable length of 6 inches. The total stick, including the swirling, flaming, bead, is just over 8 inches long.
The stick is made by me, on my lathe in my backyard, and please excuse the photos of my hands - that's what happens when you deal with wood and glue all day!
