112 yards, 5.5 ounces, 8wpi, bulky weight. Recommended needle size US 10 1/2+
This is a fleece-spun yarn handmade from handdyed wool locks. The wool was slightly teased before spinning, but otherwise keeps the original curly, crimpy quality of the original fiber. It is a one of a kind handspun orignal.
Leicester Longwool, also known as English Leicester, and Cotswold wools are a high, luster long wool with a curly quality.
Like all my handspun yarns, it was dyed with color and lightfast dyes for permanence and after I spun the fiber it was bathed in a solution containing lavender and cedar wood essential oil, a natural insect repellant.
