The story of the pillowcase dress:

Pillowcase dresses have been around since, probably, the begining of time. The idea was to start out with a long dress that would end up as a top as the child grows. They were actually made from pillowcases. Today many people make them from vintage pillowcases.

My 1 1/2 year old niece wore one to my wedding, 40 years ago, and it fit her until she was 6 years old. Of course by that time she was wearing it as a sun top.

Pair a pillowcase dress with a knit shirt and tights and you have an outfit fit for winter as well as summer.

This little pillowcase dress is lovingly stitched with french seams and handmade binding, for the armholes, to match the dress. You will never see an open seam on the inside of one of my dresses, nor will you see store bought binding.

This particular dress is made from Alexander Henry 100% Cotton. The fabric has been pre-washed and dried so there will be no shirnking or fading.

Available in sizes from 3-6 mos, 6-12 mos, 12-18 mos, 18-24 mos at $20 each, and toddler sizes 2 through 6 years at $25 each.

Bow colors available: black, green, pale pink, hot pink, and white.
