oh this sweet quilt just takes my breath away!!
I can not claim the HUGE amount of handwork that went into it, however I can claim the fact that I finished it.
Found this one at auction, it was just a top and I fell in love. I machine quilted it and finished the binding by hand. It came out amazing.
Strawberries all over with blossoms on the borders, all completed by hand, cross stitched and embroidered. Measures 80 by 96. Cotton batting, backing is a tone on tone pink...perfect for your shabby cottage decor!
The selvage of the quilt was printed 1970...so with that in mind, coupled with the fact that it was probably in storage since it's completion, there are a few slight yellow age spots which are hardly noticable. They may come out when washed.
