Many have tried to duplicate our own ORIGINAL formula, but none have succeeded. Arcadia Aromatics was the 1st company to launch this innovative product back in 2004. Even the "big guys" (Lush) have since launched their own solid conditioner bars.....but they don't compare. Don't be fooled by imitations. The other solid conditioner bars that are being sold that contain a high % of cocoa butter & lots of different vegetable oils are not doing your hair justice. High % of those ingredients will weigh your hair down, leaving it heavy feeling & greasy.

When we formulated this innovative product back in 2004, we did our research regarding each & every ingredient that we used in OUR solid conditioner bars, knowing that they were chosen for their ability to impart shine, radiance, conditioning & detangling properties.



Incroquat CR: We used this quat to improve wet & dry combing ability. When your hair is hydrophobic, so the more fatty or lipophilic the quat is, the more likely it is to improve the hair's combing properties. We also used this ingredient together with BTMS-50 for their combined emulsifying properties.

BTMS-50: Used for it's detangling & emulsifying properties together with Incroquat CR, leaving hair silky smooth & tangle free.

Olive Oil PEG 7: Produced from the Olive Tree. This ingredient provides outstanding emolliency and conditioning with qualities that allow it to be used as a co-emulsifier and solubilizer.

Propyltrimonium: A mild cationic quaternary ammonium compound made from castor oil with good conditiong effects. A very mild conditioner, with good antistatic & detangling agents, softening & antimicrobial properties.

Lecithin: A natural lipid (occurs in most living cells) consisting of 4 phospholipids (phosphatidyl choline, -ethanolamin, -serin, -inositol). Combined with the Olive Oil PEG7, it adds incredible emolliency to our formula.

Propylene Glycol: Effective humectant & wetting agent (which is GRAS) preventing water loss in the skin, increases skin permeability of active ingredients as it penetrates into the outermost skin layers.

Sodium Lactate: Excellent humectant & moisturizer for skin and hair care, especially when combined with Propylene Glycol. (GRAS)

PEG-150 Distearate: Extremely effective thickener for surfactant-containing products (e.g. shampoo, conditioner, shower gels), solubilizer for various water-insoluble ingredients, good co-emulsifying properties.

Cetrimonium Chloride: A highly substantive and powerful cationic conditioner that imparts excellent conditioning and softening effects for hair. It also confers outstanding lubricity. Their use in conditioners and cream rinses improves both wet and dry combing and reduces flyaways to give hair better manageability. They are also surface active agents, they display some foaming, wetting and rinsing action.

Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein: Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is a naturally derived, hydrolyzed wheat protein that contains wheat oligosaccharides (carbohydrates) and constitutes a unique hydrating complex offering a combination of moisture-balancing and film-forming properties that work synergistically to give hair better body & control. Excellent tensor & film-forming properties (increases firmness of the skin), nourishes and smoothes skin & hair (improves skin feeling & softness), moisture retainer (protects skin & hair from drying out).

Vitamin E: An excellent antioxidant for oils or products that contain oil. It is a food grade product and is GRAS. Vitamin E helps delay oxidation and will help to extend the shelf-life of oils and oil based products and protects the cells of the skin against free radicals. It is an effective moisturizing agent. It also improves the elasticity of the skin.

Panthenol: Also known as Provitamin B5 or the beautifier. Panthenol enhances the strength of hair and increases the resistance to breakage. It conditions without buildup and prevents damage caused by overheating and over drying of hair and scalp. Panthenol nourishes hair by replenishing its level in the hair and imparts long lasting moisturization. When Panthenol penetrates the hair shaft a thin elastic film is left o­n the inside and outside of the shaft. This imparts flexibility and elasticity from the inside and luster from the outside. Panthenol can thicken hair by up to 10%. Penetrates readily skin & hair, potent moisturizer & softener of the skin, makes the skin more elastic, soothes irritated skin (anti-inflammatory effects), heals minor wounds (promotes epithelialization), gives the hair moisturisation & shine, reduces spilt ends.
