This book purse is made from one of Doubleday's Junior Deluxe series, a charming set of children's books with adorable covers. This volume is the classic tale of "Five Little Peppers and How They Grew." The cover has the same design front and back, with the row of five children, but there is some damage to both sides. There is a small gouge in the top of the front cover, and larger one to the back. This does not affect the functionality of the purse, and I feel that it adds to the charm, showing that the book was well loved and read often.

The handles are made with alternating yellow striped acrylic beads and solid black beads on a silver metal frame, and the purse closes with a vintage plastic button and grosgrain ribbon loop. When not in use, the handles may be folded inside the purse and you can store it on a bookcase just like a real book.

There is a narrow pocket inside perfect for a slim phone or wallet, and the spine is reinforced for durability.

The dimensions are approximately 8.5" long, 1.25" wide, 5" tall, and the handles are 6" wide by 4" tall.
