Description

Certified USDA Organic soap nuts, comes with natural muslin tie string bag.

Directions: Use 1/3 of the soapnuts included in the starter kit. This is about 9-12 soap nuts. Leave those in the muslin bag and store the rest in a ziploc bag. Simply throw the muslin bag with the soapnuts into the washer and add a generous scoop of baking soda for a natural wash. I also like to drop 8 drops of essential oil for a nice scent. My favorite to use for laundry is sweet orange. You can leave out the essential oils for completely unscented laundry.
Place the muslin bag in a spot to dry between use. Reuse the same bag of soap nuts for 4-7 loads before throwing away the old soap nuts and refilling with new ones. You can tell it's time for new soapnuts when the color changes to an ashen color and the soapnuts become soggy and misshapened when drying out. Remember old soap nuts are compostable!
Use 1/2 of the soap nuts included in the starter and extra baking soda if you feel you have a heavy load or extra dirty laundry.
In total the starter kit should last for an average of 16 loads.
