Beaded Butterfly Goddess Doll - Brooch - Wall Art

Hand beaded Goddess Doll in soothing blue and green shades. She fits beautifully in the hand. The feel of the beads is as wonderful as the appearance. Holding a beaded doll in the hand is a nice focus for meditation. I personally find the feel of a beads comforting, soothing, releasing.

This butterfly doll has both a pin-back and a loop at the back. She may be worn as a necklace or brooch. She may be pinned into a wall hanging or placed as wall decor on a picture hook.

Size: About 7 inches (17.5 cm) long from curve of antenna to end of tassel. About 3.5 inches (~9cm) wide at widest point. The grid in photo 4 is in 1/4 inch increments (~ 6mm)

Beads are a combination of new and vintage beads - mostly new glass seed beads. The sequin flower, the button face, and the gold tone tassel are vintage findings. Some of the chest area is vintage yarn. The base is wool felt, stuffed with polyester fiber fill. Entirely hand sewn, except for the pin-back which is glued in place.

She was created over a period of months; and after many stitches emerged in this form.

Beaded dolls need to be protected in a box. She may come in a hand crafted fabric bag or wrapped in a small plain wall hanging. Depends on my mood and which is on hand at the time; along with clean recycled padding to cushion her ride to you.
