Penguin on a Mission (blue on blue paper--original woodblock print)

Description

“Don’t try to stop me.” Our hero may look a tad anxious, but who doesn’t worry at the start of a journey? And to be fair, his suitcase looks heavy in proportion to his size…But, in most situations, determination is the deciding factor, and this penguin has that in spades.

This edition of 20 was pulled by hand from a single, carved woodblock; I used a pale brown shade of watercolor to make the suitcase pop. This edition was printed with a rich indigo ink, on the palest sky blue mulberry paper. I think the faint blue background just adds a tiny something extra!

Approximate penguin design dimensions: 6 ¼ x 6 ¼”.

Penguins will be carefully wrapped and shipped flat to their destination, anywhere in the U.S.or Canada, via USPS first class mail.
