Custom made to your measurements! This fitted Cuirass bodice is low necked for night wear events. The hem cut into the pointed extended waist popular in the 1880's. The back curves in a gentle ruffle that sits easily on top of the bustle skirts and swags underneath. This style is particularly suited to 1879-1890. The bodice is unboned but is heavily lined through with canvas to ensure a snug, slim fit and lined with cotton. The small puff sleeve is wonderful on this jacket and is cut in 2 pieces. The jacket is machine sewn on a period correct sewing matching from 1891, the button holes are made on my own sewing machine.

This bodice is closed with 12 small buttons for closure.

This bodices are drafted based on a tailoring method actually used in the 1880's. It is made to fit your measurements and each one is drafted on a dress dummy to fit you with all of the seams true to the era! This bodice is designed to fit snugly over a corset, and over a moderate sized bustle (Please see my other listings coming soon, for these items).

Various trims etc can be added to this item, please ask about this and we will figure out what you would like! Also, if you would like to use your own fabric, the price of the item drops down to $160 + the price of your ordered fabric. If not, give me a color and I will find something in either cotton or viscose that suits your needs, polyester can also be used in this time period as it emulates some of the fine fabrics they had back in the day.

This is the perfect jacket to suit every need for the Victorian enthusiast or the beginning re-enactor. I have made this particular jacket for a number of museums and they loved it each and every time.

As always ½ of the payment (not including shipping) is due when you place the order. This payment is nonrefundable. The rest of your payment including shipping is due when the garment is finished prior to shipping.
