The listing is not for the pictured skirt, but one made specifically to your measurements.I've drafted this skirt based on tailoring methods actually used in the 1880's. It is gathered in back with 3 front gores. It hugs the waist perfectly giving you the correct silhouette and full width in back that was popular at that time. The ruffle at the bottom is box pleated, 12" high and sewn into place. Additional decoration can be added to the skirt at your discretion for an additional fee, please contact for that information. The ruffle can also be taken off if a plainer skirt is desired. Inside seam edges are finished to prevent fraying. The waistband is 1.5" high and closes with 2 large square hook and eye at the back of the skirt. This is the basic underskirt (not petticoat) and is a must have to design the rest of your wardrobe.

The listing is not for the pictured skirt, but one made specifically to your measurements. This skirt is perfect for almost everything during the period of 1883-1889. It can be left plain for day wear, or elaborately trimmed for evening. Mix and match over skirts for different looks! See my coming listings for different over skirts!

To wear this you'll need the correct underpinning, corset, hoops, petticoat etc.

For waists over 34" (up to 40") and hips over 44" (up to 50")please add an additional 20$ for fabric costs.

Finding the perfect fabric on line and having me order it in is sometimes the best way to ensure you have the perfect fabric for the skirt that you want. If you would like a certain fabric, or me to order something in please let me know. Please be advised that this skirt requires 5yds of fabric, large sizes 6yds if supplying the fabric. Yardages given are without nap. If using napped material, allow as much as 1 ½ yards extra. If supplying your own fabric the price is $100 + the price of your fabric!
