The Calcareous Eye Seeing Clear

I don't know why I thought of him, but Pablo just came into my mind when I came to write the description of this piece. It wa the "that magnified necklaces" part at first...anyway, this piece is a burst of rhinestone followed by an antique monocle.
The links of brass are vintage, and the silver tone ones are contemporary "Bali" silver. The chain is an antiqued brass rolo style. There is a very Deco element to this piece, almost as if it were a design in the lobby of a commissioned Rockefeller building. I think it's the symmetry that contributes to this as well.
