The Fairy Trail necklace has lots of texture and shimmering 'fairy dust' sparkle to awaken the fairy in you!

Layers of vintage fabric, silk, appliques, along with some natural jute type material... all magically sewn together ...

...The stiff brown leaves come from an antique lace and wire hat, fragments of vintage embroidered silks, mother of pearl and turquoise beads, clay beads, metal washer type beads taken from a broken necklace, tiny purple shell, an old metallic applique.. there's a fine piece of paua (abalone) shell from New Zealand - wrapped in brass wire - with shades of pink, greeny blues and purple, other beads and lace fragments.

So many details and elements - the long purple lace ties have fragments of pale blue vintage seersucker, black lace and hand dyed lilac lace sewn to them and beading, hangs from a large vintage brass ring with tiny brass bells - giving a little tinkling sound to wake the sleeping fairies :-)

The back is delicious too with more appliques of vintage floral fabric, polka dots, a little silk flower centred with a bright blue shell bead and turquoise gemstone.
