My Inspiration Apples are now dressed for the cold months!

Inspiration Apples are stuffed toys for grownups, meant to make your mind play.

These plush fruits are made from cold-weather fabric -- wool and a wool blend, if I'm not mistaken -- that I rescued from a retired dressmaker's stash that would otherwise have gone to the landfill. Call them environmentally friendly apples!

This is a listing for three Inspiration Apples, each one handstamped using water-soluble paint, one with "Live," another with "Love," the third with "Laugh."

They're perfect to display in your home this holiday season, but also throughout the year. They make great gifts too.

The apples are stuffed tightly with polyfill. The stems are made from real licorice root. Each is around 5 inches or 13 cm high.

These plush toys will come to you wrapped in a repurposed cloth bag.

My classic white Inspiration Apples are still available. Look for them in my shop.

The story of the Inspiration Apple:

So it was that the Rare and Meditating White Apple (it must be admitted after a year of having subscribed to O, the Oprah magazine) came to her "A-ha!" moment and decided that it was time to make a stand. She joined the Miss Universe beauty pageant.

Asked by the pageant host for a message for her rapt audience, she positively glowed. Standing up very straight and giving her most gorgeous smile, she replied, "Live, Love, and Laugh, all Fruitkind."
