This is a scan of an antique French postcard, front and back, circa 1903. I love the huge doll the girl is holding. It looks to be as big as she is. I think this image has Christmas gift tag written all over it! Now, I happen to like the sender's name written on the front of the doll, but if you don't, let me know and I'll clone it out:) This scan has wonderfully rich golden brown tones, picked up in the color tinting of the girl's hair. When you examine the scan closely, you'll see that her curly hair actually sticks out quite a bit further but the artist painted a more circular hair do! The French text at top says, "For my little cousin." I liked Marcelle's penmanship on the back so much that I just gotta include it. You'll wanna add your own stamp, I'm sure. Even though postally unmarked, the very fact that the back is undivided tells me that it was printed in 1903 or earlier. A very nostalgic antique image. You'll receive TWO SCANS, front and back. Note: you will receive the second scan and third scans pictured -- the second scan is the complete postcard image. The first scan you see is just a close-up for gallery view.
